Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 large Bananas, peeled and frozen
  • 1/2 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 3/4 cup Whole milk, chilled
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Chia seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Peel your ripe fruit and slice it into small coins before laying them flat on a baking sheet. Freeze them completely solid to ensure a frosty final drink.
  2. Pour your cold whole milk directly into the bottom of the blender pitcher. Starting with liquids helps the blades catch the frozen ingredients much easier.
  3. Drop in the frozen fruit pieces, plain Greek yogurt, and a splash of vanilla extract. Add your honey and chia seeds now if you are using them.
  4. Secure the lid tightly and start blending on a low speed. Gradually increase to high until the mixture looks completely uniform and glossy.
  5. Take a quick sip to see if you need more honey or an extra splash of milk. Pour into tall chilled glasses and enjoy your perfect breakfast drink.

Notes

Tip: Freezing bananas in coins prevents your blender blades from getting stuck or overworked. Always pour your milk in first to create a vortex that pulls the solid ingredients down. Ditch the ice cubes entirely to avoid watering down the smoothie.
