Instructions
- Peel your ripe fruit and slice it into small coins before laying them flat on a baking sheet. Freeze them completely solid to ensure a frosty final drink.
- Pour your cold whole milk directly into the bottom of the blender pitcher. Starting with liquids helps the blades catch the frozen ingredients much easier.
- Drop in the frozen fruit pieces, plain Greek yogurt, and a splash of vanilla extract. Add your honey and chia seeds now if you are using them.
- Secure the lid tightly and start blending on a low speed. Gradually increase to high until the mixture looks completely uniform and glossy.
- Take a quick sip to see if you need more honey or an extra splash of milk. Pour into tall chilled glasses and enjoy your perfect breakfast drink.
Notes
Tip: Freezing bananas in coins prevents your blender blades from getting stuck or overworked. Always pour your milk in first to create a vortex that pulls the solid ingredients down. Ditch the ice cubes entirely to avoid watering down the smoothie.
